According to a formal announcement, as many as eleven public servants in Assam were promoted to the Indian Administrative Service in fulfilment of openings determined by the Indian government.

11 ACS officers from the state have been elevated to the rank of IAS in accordance with a directive dated June 13 against openings.
Monita Borgohain, Gitanjali Bhattacharjee, Md. Shah Nawaz Choudhury, Fazlul Haque Choudhury, Kavyashree Mahanta, Smitakshi Baruah, Malavika Choudhury, Indreswar Kalita, Kausar Jamil Hilaly, Deba Kumar Kalita, and Arundhati Chakraborty are among those who received promotion.
